RUBBER, PLASTIC, THERMOPLASTIC
SOKA kaolins improve resistance to tearing, elongation, compression set, abrasion, surface conditions, etc., and reduce mixing costs. Our calcined, amorphous, white and inert kaolins stimulate dielectric properties, DRC, tensil strength, AR, acid, base and water resistance, as well as a perfect and non-conductive profile surface finish.
Our surface-treated, calcined kaolins allow the introduction of large quantities of fillers and ensure high-level mechanical and electrical performance as well as improved resistance to thermal ageing, UV and immersion. They are particularly recommended for cables, sealing profiles, and cellular rubbers etc. Kaolins are used to manufacture the following plastics because of their dimensional stability, chemical resistance, infrared (IR) barrier, impact and scratch resistance and smooth surface: PA6, PA6.6, polyethylene, polyolefin, PE/EVA, PVAC, PVC, SMC, BMC, PU and PS.

PAINT, VARNISH, INK
SOKA's kaolin range can be used in many water-based or solvent-based paint formulations; they provide opacity, thixotropy, resistance to acid and base abrasion, and matt finish. Our kaolins also increase colour consistency. SOKA kaolins are environmentally friendly and are the preferred choice to reduce Tio2 in your formulations.

CONSTRUCTION, CEMENT, MORTAR: METAKAOLIN
SOKA metakaolins reduce porosity, increase density, resistance to bending, compression and chemical aggression. Their hardening accelerates the reduction of efflorescence and micro cracks, and their pozzolanic properties are industry renowned. Our metakaolins are made from purified kaolin and are recommended as an addition to HPC, UHPC, SCC, cement, mortars, grouts, coatings and fibrocement composites to replace silica fume and some of the cement and additives. SOKA metakaolins have a positive environmental impact and meet the NF P18-513 standard.
COSMETICS
SOKA kaolins are used in the formulation of many cosmetic products as an absorbent, abrasive, anti-caking, opacifying, colouring, expansion and protective agent. Kaolin, referenced INCI CI 77004, is often referred to as “white clay” in cosmetics. Our kaolins comply with regulation n°1223/2009.
